"Making an investment in our young people is the most important thing we can do."

- Stephen Lawrence
Chairman, The Diamond Foundation
With the statement above, the newly elected Chairman of The Diamond Foundation, gave a clear vision of the continued mission of the foundation. Given our connection and history with the New Brunswick Alumni Kappa League program, we have a vehicle in place that we can continue to enhance. But what impact has the Kappa League program had on its members? When you pour time, energy and resources into young people, you watch them grow and blossom into amazing individuals.

Kappa League is a program for the educational, occupational and social guidance of male students in grades 6th-12th. It was designed to help young men grow, receive, and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor. It falls sunder the mentoring umbrella of the Guide Right program of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Kappa League was founded on Thursday, February 12, 1969, by the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., at Alain LeRoy Locke High School in Los Angeles, CA. There are seven phases of Kappa League. Its is through these areas that we look to enrich and enhance the lives of young men. The seven phases of Kappa League are:

Phase I - Self Identity/ Purpose
Phase II - Training
Phase III - Competition
Phase IV - Social
Phase V - Health Education
Phase VI - Economic Empowerment & Education
